Phil Collins is considering a return to touring, as he recently reflected on his music career and future plans, according to kool1079.com. The singer will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the second time on November 14, 2026, this time as a solo artist; he was first inducted with the band Genesis in 2010.

Collins expressed excitement about the honor, describing it as a "pat on the back" and revealing that turning 75 made him think about retirement. However, he also acknowledged that part of him resists fully retiring from music.

He mentioned having a fully operational studio in his basement and unfinished musical ideas, which have led him to reconsider whether he has more to contribute creatively. Collins said he enjoys the freedom of not recording or performing but still yearns for the stage.

His last concert was Genesis' farewell show on March 26, 2022, at London's O2 Arena. Due to severe nerve damage and other health issues, he was unable to play drums and performed vocals while seated throughout the concert. Whether he can return to performing live remains uncertain.

Collins noted that returning to touring would need to be financially practical and that he does not rule out going back on the road, saying, "I never say exactly never."

The singer's contemplation of a comeback follows his recent Hall of Fame recognition and ongoing passion for music despite physical challenges.
