Republican Representative Thomas Massie from Kentucky announced he intends to move forward with impeachment proceedings against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth if Hegseth remains in office after the November midterm elections, The Hill reported.

Massie initially began the impeachment process against Hegseth in September, citing concerns related to the war in Iran, according to The Hill.

Massie indicated that he would reintroduce articles of impeachment once Congress reconvenes following the midterms, signaling his continued opposition to Hegseth's tenure at the Pentagon.
