Santa Rosa's Trail House combines bike shop, craft beer, and coffee near Annadel Park
Trail House in Santa Rosa offers cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts a unique spot for bikes, craft beer, and coffee near local trails.
A new business called Trail House has opened in Santa Rosa, providing a combination of a bike shop, craft beer bar, and coffeehouse near Annadel State Park, according to pressdemocrat.com. The establishment is located on Montgomery Drive, close to Howarth Park, and aims to serve runners, bicyclists, hikers, and outdoor lovers.
Trail House was created by the owners of two other Santa Rosa bike shops, NorCal Bike Sport and The Bike Peddler. The founders wanted to offer a unique experience where people could buy bicycles, enjoy craft beers—both local and rare selections from the US and Europe—and have quick meals including sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and hot dogs.
The business features coffee and espresso supplied by San Francisco's Sightglass Coffee, enhancing its appeal as a spot suitable for any time of day. Plans for additional activities such as bike repair clinics and live music events are expected to start in early 2017.
Local mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts have praised Trail House for its welcoming atmosphere and convenient location at the start or end of rides. It is seen as a community hub that reflects a return to a more inclusive public house experience in Sonoma County.
Trail House officially opened on December 13, with a grand opening planned for the following month. The owners emphasize the importance of brick-and-mortar stores offering unique experiences to stay relevant in the retail market.
