Peace Ike, raised Christian but experiencing a period of low faith, traveled to Greece in 2017 where she had a revelation to open a communal space upon returning to Philadelphia, according to the Daily Freeman.

Ike purchased a six-bedroom house in Germantown without roommates or a plan to pay the mortgage, initially without a spiritual focus, though she occasionally hosted worship nights and prayed with people in need.

By its second year, the house had evolved into an intentional "Christ-centered" home where six women aged 29 to 47 live independently but share a passion for Christ, the Daily Freeman reported.

One resident, Christina Levy, who moved into the house after enrolling in graduate school, described the women as sisters connected by their faith and said their kitchen island serves as a place to share their concerns, akin to a church setting.

Three of the women also attend the same church in Bristol on Sundays, reinforcing their communal religious bond, according to the Daily Freeman.

The house serves as a space for spiritual growth and mutual support among the women, who come from diverse backgrounds but share a common vision for living in faith.
