The North County Transit District (NCTD) in San Diego announced it will offer free rides on all COASTER, SPRINTER, BREEZE, FLEX, LIFT, and NCTD+ services on Election Day, November 3, according to 10news.com.

This initiative aims to make it easier for voters to get to their polling places, vote centers, or ballot drop-off locations using public transit, the NCTD said.

Riders will not be asked if they are voting, and no proof of voting will be required to use the free rides. Additionally, passengers do not need a PRONTO card or valid fare to board the transit services on that day.

The free ride offer does not include Amtrak Rail 2 Rail or MTS services. For more election information, voters are directed to visit sdvote.com, and trip planning resources are available through NCTD.
