The Cupertino City Council election is currently seeing a lead by three candidates from the pro-growth Cupertino Together slate, according to San José Spotlight.

These candidates are ahead in the polls as the election results update is anticipated by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Trailing behind the leading slate are three preservationist candidates who are loosely allied but currently behind in the vote count.

Among the frontrunners is John Tang, a former president of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, who is positioned in the top tier of candidates.

Voters in Cupertino can expect the next update on election results later this week, which may provide further clarity on the council race outcome.
