President Donald Trump held a rally in Sioux City, Iowa, on October 22 to back Republican candidates ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, according to multiple iHeartRadio news outlets. The event took place at Sioux Gateway Airport, where Trump endorsed Senate hopeful Ashley Hinson and gubernatorial nominee Zach Lahn, as reported by the Des Moines Register and The Gazette.

During the rally, Trump praised Hinson as "a mother and a warrior" and criticized her Democratic opponent, Josh Turek. He emphasized the importance of voter participation, encouraging Iowans to vote as if he were on the ballot to help secure a Republican win, according to KCCI.

Trump also highlighted his support for Iowa farmers by referencing his executive order on red-dye diesel and waivers for E15 ethanol sales. These agricultural policies were part of his message to rally conservative voters in Iowa's Fourth Congressional District, a key area for maintaining Republican control in Congress.

The Iowa GOP chair, Jeff Kaufmann, announced that Trump plans to return to Iowa on November 1, just two days before the midterm elections. Additionally, Trump is scheduled to campaign in Florida and Michigan in the days following the Iowa rally.
