Two killed in Prince George’s County shootings amid violent week
Prince George’s County police respond to multiple shootings resulting in two deaths and critical injury.
Prince George’s County experienced two fatal shootings on Tuesday, adding to a week marked by violence, The Baltimore Banner reported.
The first incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on the 8100 block of 15th Avenue in Langley Park, where officers found two young women with gunshot wounds. One of the teens died at the scene, while the other was hospitalized in critical condition. Police do not believe this shooting was random and are searching for a suspect.
Later that day, around 12:25 p.m., police responded to an apartment on the 1900 block of Belle Haven Drive in Greater Landover, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating suspects and motives for this killing as well.
These incidents are part of a deadly seven-day stretch in Prince George’s County, with at least seven people killed since October 27, including four on October 29. Police Chief George Nader emphasized the human cost of violence, stating that even one murder is too many.
