An online fundraiser raised nearly $700,000 for a Red Baron Pizza employee in Michigan who was targeted in a viral prank, The Hill reported.

The GoFundMe received almost 20,000 donations, including a $38,000 contribution from Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife Apoorva, according to The Hill.

Ramaswamy's campaign confirmed the donation to The Hill on Saturday.

The fundraiser was created in response to the harassment faced by the worker after the prank video circulated online.
