Amazon launches Alexa Photo Frame and Echo Time smart clock with new features
Amazon introduced the Alexa Photo Frame and Echo Time smart alarm clock, alongside upgraded Echo devices, enhancing user experience and integration.
Amazon unveiled five new Alexa devices, including the Alexa Photo Frame and Echo Time smart alarm clock, as reported by TechCrunch. The Alexa Photo Frame features a 10-inch semi-matte, anti-glare display designed to blend with wall art and offers integration with Amazon accounts, including unlimited photo storage for Prime members.
The Photo Frame intelligently selects photos to display based on factors like smiles, lighting, and seasonality, while allowing users to add voice notes and sync images automatically, according to TechCrunch. It is available now starting at $199.99 in black and higher prices for wood finishes.
The Echo Time smart alarm clock, detailed by The Verge, has a 3.2-inch round touchscreen with hundreds of clock faces and uses ultrasound sleep sensing to wake users at optimal times in their sleep cycle. It lacks a camera and costs $199.99.
The Echo Time improves on previous models with a fully round screen that displays a large clock for easy viewing and allows alarm setting via touchscreen to avoid disturbing a partner, The Verge noted. The clock remains visible at all times, even when Alexa performs other tasks.
In addition to these new devices, Amazon also upgraded other Echo products, including the Echo Dot, Echo Studio with visual intelligence, and Echo Show 16, as mentioned by TechCrunch. These enhancements aim to improve user interaction and smart home integration.
