Dr. Abraham Verghese, a bestselling author and Stanford physician, is scheduled to discuss his works at Kepler’s Books in Menlo Park on November 16, according to Palo Alto Online.

The event is a fundraiser for the independent bookstore, which has hosted Verghese before. He recalled his first book tour stop at Kepler’s where he was surprised by the turnout of 30 to 40 people, a significant number for a debut author.

Since that initial visit, Verghese's readings have attracted increasingly larger audiences, reflecting his growing popularity both as a writer and a medical professional.

The upcoming event offers local readers and fans an opportunity to engage with Verghese’s work and support a community bookstore in the Bay Area.
