National Geographic has included Baltimore, Maryland, among only five U.S. destinations on its Best Places to Visit in 2027 list, according to 995qyk.com. The list features 25 top destinations worldwide, with Baltimore recognized for its rich transportation history and cultural attractions.

The city’s ongoing investment in the National Museum of Railroad History & Innovation was noted as a key highlight. Visitors are also encouraged to explore well-known sites such as the historic Lexington Market, the National Aquarium, and the Inner Harbor area, WRIF.com reported.

Other U.S. destinations on the list include Madison, Wisconsin; California’s Pacific Coast Highway; the Southern Ozarks in Missouri and Arkansas; and Puerto Rico. Each location offers unique experiences ranging from outdoor activities to scenic drives.

Baltimore’s inclusion on this list may attract more tourists interested in history, culture, and waterfront experiences. Local businesses and cultural institutions could see increased attention in 2027 as a result of this recognition.
