Brother J launches 61st annual Thanksgiving food drive in Tuscaloosa

Brother J, the morning show host on Praise 93.3, has started his 61st annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to collect nonperishable food donations for the West Alabama Food Bank, according to 953thebear.com and wtug.com.

Since 1965, Brother J has mobilized his listening audience every November to support this cause. Community members can drop off donations at Townsquare Media in Tuscaloosa, located at 142 Skyland Boulevard East, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The food drive will continue through the days leading up to Thanksgiving, with the West Alabama Food Bank scheduled to collect the donations just before the holiday, both sources reported.

Brother J encourages donations of any size, from a single can to 100 items, emphasizing that every contribution helps families in West Alabama have food on their tables during the holiday season.

The West Alabama community has a strong history of supporting this food drive. In 2021, listeners and community supporters donated more than 2,000 pounds of food to help neighbors in need, as noted by both outlets.
