Carrie Preston stars as Elsbeth Tascioni, a quirky lawyer-turned-detective, in the new comedic murder-mystery series 'Elsbeth,' according to CBS News.

Preston has portrayed this character in three popular series: 'The Good Wife,' 'The Good Fight,' and now 'Elsbeth,' where her character assists New York City police in solving crimes through unconventional methods, CBS News reported.

In an extended interview with correspondent Mo Rocca, Preston described playing Elsbeth, whom she calls 'The Queen of Quirk,' as a positive and uplifting experience.

The interview highlights Preston's appreciation for portraying a character who embodies positivity, which she referred to as 'like a miracle' for her, CBS News noted.
