Atlanta News First reported that North Georgia is experiencing cool, dry mornings with a northeast flow around a coastal low keeping autumn air in place. Winds are expected to be light, around 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph, and the northeast Georgia mountains will see near calm conditions.

High temperatures on Sunday will reach the mid 60s across North Georgia, with the northeast Georgia mountains seeing highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Overnight lows will drop into the low to mid 30s in the mountains, creating ideal conditions for frost and possibly the first freeze of the season on the highest ridgelines. Elsewhere, lows will be in the upper 30s to 40s.

Monday will bring a few degrees of warming with highs in the mid to upper 60s and continued clear skies. High pressure will keep rain chances away and maintain calm, sunny conditions throughout the day and night, with lows Tuesday morning in the low to mid 40s.

The warming trend is expected to continue through midweek, with highs climbing into the upper 60s to low 70s by Tuesday afternoon. Mornings will remain brisk, but by the end of the week, lows may reach the low 50s.

By Thursday and Friday, highs are forecast to rise into the upper 70s across North Georgia, providing a noticeably warmer finish to the week while maintaining abundant sunshine.
