The Florida Gators secured an upset victory over the seventh-ranked Texas Longhorns with a 27-24 win in Austin, according to Country 99.1 WQIK and NewsRadio WIOD.

In the game, Gators quarterback Trammell Jones made his first start, completing 22 of 35 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns to Lacota Dippre. Jones also added 41 rushing yards.

Running back Jaden Baugh contributed 91 yards on the ground and scored an 11-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, which proved decisive in the close game.

Texas quarterback Arch Manning completed 14 of 20 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown but was unable to lead the Longhorns to victory.

Looking ahead, the Gators will travel to Atlanta to face the Georgia Bulldogs on October 31, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 PM local time.
