The Metro Richmond Flying Squad's station in Woodland Heights features an emergency vehicle with the phrase "neighbors helping neighbors" on its side, symbolizing the spirit of service in the community, WRIC 8News reported.
Chief Rick Talley highlighted that the late District Captain Paul "Zack" Von Mille truly embodied this motto through his work as a firefighter in Central Virginia.
The first responder community in Richmond and surrounding areas gathered to remember Von Mille's dedication and the impact he had on those he served.
His commitment to helping others continues to inspire current and future firefighters in the region.
