Democratic Governor Tina Kotek has won reelection in Oregon, defeating Republican state Senator Christine Drazan, NBC News projected.

This election was a rematch of their 2022 contest, in which Kotek previously won by a narrow margin of four points in the predominantly Democratic state.

Kotek faced challenges during the campaign, including low approval ratings and voter concerns about cost-of-living and homelessness issues in Oregon.

Drazan criticized Kotek's policies on taxes and the expansion of data centers, a significant issue given Oregon's ranking among the top states for planned data centers.

In response, Kotek announced support for a statewide moratorium on new data centers and sought to link Drazan to former President Donald Trump, who lost Oregon by 14 percentage points in 2024.

The Associated Press and WTOP also confirmed Kotek's reelection victory.
