Elderly man dies after being hit by multiple cars on I-80 in Solano County

A 71-year-old man was fatally struck by several vehicles early Thursday morning on Interstate 80 westbound.

According to FOX40, an elderly man died after being hit by multiple vehicles early Thursday morning in Solano County.

The California Highway Patrol reported that officers responded to the crash around 2:34 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at the I-780 interchange.

Upon arrival, authorities found that a Tesla had hit the 71-year-old man, who was then struck by other vehicles.

This incident occurred in Solano County, which is adjacent to the Sacramento area, potentially affecting local traffic conditions.

The CHP is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
