The Sacramento Kings are set to play the Portland Trail Blazers in a Western Conference matchup on Friday, marking the first meeting between the two teams this season, mymotherlode.com reported.

Last season, Sacramento finished with a 22-60 overall record, including 14-38 in conference games and 15-26 at home. The Kings averaged 111.0 points per game, with 17.6 points from free throws and 30.9 from three-point range.

Portland ended last season with a 42-40 overall record and 29-23 in Western Conference play. The Trail Blazers averaged 115.5 points per game, including 48.3 points in the paint, 19.2 off turnovers, and 13.8 on fast breaks.

Both teams have key players out due to injuries. Sacramento's Ben Simmons is out for the season with an Achilles injury, while Dylan Cardwell, Malik Monk, and Maxime Raynaud are also sidelined. Portland's Chris Youngblood, Shaedon Sharpe, and Branden Carlson are currently unavailable due to ankle, meniscus, and concussion protocol issues, respectively.
