Megan Hamon experienced a decline in self-confidence as she increasingly relied on partying and excessive drinking, a situation that worsened during the Covid-19 pandemic, BBC Health reported.

Her struggles began to intensify after a difficult breakup and the pandemic, leading her to neglect her mental and physical health without fully realizing her unhappiness.

As she approached her 30th birthday, Hamon decided to make a change by focusing on regular exercise, including gym workouts and running, alongside attending therapy sessions to enhance her wellbeing.

Hamon noted that exercise significantly boosted her confidence and helped her manage low moods, stating that even therapy alone would have been beneficial, but exercise added a major positive impact.

She has shared her journey on social media with the hope of inspiring others facing similar challenges to make positive lifestyle changes.

BBC Health highlighted Hamon's story as an example of how combining physical activity with mental health support can contribute to recovery from harmful habits.
