An explosion occurred Thursday evening at the First Place Hotel on Snapfinger Woods Drive in unincorporated Decatur, DeKalb County, according to Atlanta News First and FOX 5 Atlanta.

The blast caused several windows to blow out and damaged an exterior wall of the hotel building, fire officials said.

Hotel employees extinguished the fire before DeKalb County Fire Rescue crews arrived on the scene, as reported by both outlets.

Investigators remain at the site evaluating the building's structural stability and have not yet determined the cause of the explosion, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.

No injuries were reported from the incident, and authorities have not released any estimates on repair costs.

This remains a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available, according to Atlanta News First.
