Sam Aguiar, a personal injury attorney practicing since 2008, began a campaign in December 2024 to place motivational billboards around Louisville, Kentucky, according to Atlanta News First, WITN, and NBC12.

Aguiar designed the billboards himself and instructed his representative to install them quickly before he changed his mind. The messages are brief and intended to resonate with people facing different challenges, including phrases like 'Believe in yourself,' 'Good vibes only today,' and 'Stay strong,' the outlets reported.

About 60 billboards have been placed in high-traffic areas throughout Louisville. The campaign has received an immediate response, with more than 2,000 people reaching out via phone, email, text, and social media, according to Aguiar.

Messages have come from trauma nurses, cancer patients, EMTs, teachers, and single mothers who found encouragement in the billboards. Aguiar also included a billboard referencing a social media trend familiar to his 13-year-old child, aiming to engage both parents and children.

Although some new clients have come to Aguiar, the campaign was not intended to generate business but rather to remind people that they are important, loved, and making a difference, the reports stated.
