Family of man killed by federal agents accuses DOJ of withholding evidence
The family of Alex Pretti says the Department of Justice is refusing to provide information about his death by federal immigration agents.
The parents of Alex Pretti, a Minneapolis nurse who was shot and killed by federal immigration agents earlier this year, have accused the Department of Justice of protecting those responsible for his death, The Hill reported.
According to The Hill, the family claims the DOJ has ignored their requests, misled them, and shielded those involved in the shooting during the ongoing investigation.
Nine months after the incident, Pretti's parents held a press conference demanding answers and accused the federal government of lying about Alex and slandering his memory to cover up the circumstances of his death.
The family continues to seek transparency and accountability from the DOJ regarding the case, which remains under investigation.
