Farm Credit Administration updates records systems under Privacy Act
Farm Credit Administration amends and rescinds certain records systems to improve tracking and reduce duplication.
The Farm Credit Administration (FCA) is amending its Assignments and Communication Tracking System, known as FCA-5, to better track draft correspondence, memoranda, employee assignments, and communications between FCA, FCSIC staff, and external parties, according to the Federal Register.
At the same time, the FCA is rescinding the FCA-13 Correspondence Files system because it duplicates information already maintained in the FCA-5 system, the Federal Register states.
These changes are made pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974, aiming to streamline recordkeeping and improve agency management's ability to reference communications and assignments.
Separately, the Environmental Protection Agency Region 8 is proposing to rescind its Libby Asbestos Exposure Assessment Records System, as it no longer uses this system, also under the Privacy Act.
Additionally, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a computer matching program between CMS and State-Based Administering Entities to support eligibility determinations for state health subsidy programs under the Affordable Care Act.
