The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has requested renewal of its information collection activities, submitting the request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, according to the Federal Register.

Similarly, the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) plans to submit a new information collection request to OMB in compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking OMB approval for the State Data Transfer program, which involves collecting vehicle crash information, as noted in a Federal Register notice.

Additional agencies have submitted or plan to submit requests related to housing data and coastal zone management program administration, all under the Paperwork Reduction Act requirements.

These requests are part of a routine process to ensure that federal data collection efforts are reviewed and approved to minimize burden on the public.

The Federal Register noted that all these documents are currently available in prototype XML format and that official legal editions remain on govinfo.gov until further regulatory approval.

Public comments are being solicited as part of the review process before final OMB approval is granted.
