Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg boosts team outlook with strong start
Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg's early NBA performance is reshaping Golden State Warriors' future prospects.
The Golden State Warriors are experiencing a positive shift in their team outlook following the impressive early performances of rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, according to the SF Standard.
In his first five NBA games, Lendeborg averaged 22.6 points per game and has led the Warriors in several key statistics, including minutes played, shots made and attempted, and rebounds, with 46 rebounds which is more than double the next highest on the team, Draymond Green.
Lendeborg also ranks second on the team in points, assists, blocked shots, free-throw makes and attempts, and three-point makes and attempts, trailing only Stephen Curry or Draymond Green in these categories.
This strong start has already influenced the Warriors' strategic planning, with upcoming options in February and the next offseason appearing more promising. The SF Standard notes that this has even brought a noticeable enthusiasm to star player Stephen Curry.
The Warriors have also secured back-to-back road wins over Denver and Minnesota after a rough 0-3 start, highlighting the immediate impact Lendeborg has had on the team's performance.
