Florida Republicans sue over Hope Florida grand jury ads

The Florida GOP claims harm from ads about a leaked grand jury report tied to Hope Florida.

The Republican Party of Florida has filed a lawsuit against the Democratic Party and several TV stations over advertisements related to a leaked grand jury report, Tampa Bay Times reported.

The ads concern Hope Florida, an initiative led by Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis. The program encourages people to seek help from churches and nonprofits rather than government services, according to the Times.

The Hope Florida Foundation supports the initiative. The Republican Party argues that the ads cause it to suffer irreparable harm.
