According to MarketWatch, a Goldman Sachs strategist noted that the AI trade has been 'sold to death' recently, reflecting a downturn in investor enthusiasm.
Despite this, the strategist highlighted a potential positive outcome from the recent Democratic sweep in elections.
The strategist suggested that corporate decision makers may choose to accelerate their plans to expand compute capacity to capitalize on the current political environment.
This approach would allow companies to take advantage of the status quo rather than face uncertainty from a possible new administration and different rules starting in 2029.
