Gulf states are negotiating a multipart peace agreement focused on reopening the strait of Hormuz within four days of lifting sanctions on Iran, according to The Guardian.

The talks also include plans for the Houthis to withdraw significant forces from Yemen, aiming to reduce regional tensions.

The United States is aware of the progress but is seeking a concession that European powers suggest could involve Iran allowing UN weapons inspectors back into the country.

These efforts are intended to prevent what Gulf states see as a potentially disastrous renewal of war between the US and Iran.
