Target revamps Threshold home goods brand with new items and lower prices
Target has improved quality, added over 800 items, and lowered prices on some Threshold home goods.
Target has overhauled its Threshold home goods private label, which generates nearly $3 billion annually, according to Retail Dive.
The retailer improved quality, merchandising, and in some cases, lowered prices, including a $20 reduction on certain comforters.
More than 800 new items were added to the Threshold assortment, which now features refreshed barware, serveware, and bedding fabrics like gauze and textured cotton.
Target also enhanced in-store presentations to help customers visualize how complementary items might work together in their homes, reflecting research that many mix styles when decorating.
This revamp is part of a $1 billion, multiyear turnaround effort under CEO Michael Fiddelke, focusing on affordability amid rising prices on essentials.
Target senior vice president of home merchandising Mara Sirhal highlighted positive customer responses to the refreshed brand's range of styles and value.
The price cuts on Threshold items align with broader storewide reductions as consumer budgets remain tight.
