The iPhone Duo represents a significant change in iPhone design, introducing a foldable form factor that encourages users to interact with the device in new ways, The Verge reported. This new design comes with a learning curve as users adjust to features like flipping and folding the phone.

One tip highlighted by The Verge is managing screen orientation locks differently on the Duo's two screens. Users can lock orientation on the outer screen to avoid unwanted flips while leaving the inner screen unlocked to allow rotation, enhancing usability in various modes such as tent mode.

The Verge also noted that despite orientation lock on the cover screen, videos still rotate automatically when the phone is propped up, showcasing the device's flexible functionality.

Meanwhile, Tom's Guide reported that the iPhone Duo is currently difficult to find due to high demand, leading consumers to consider alternative foldable phones that are in stock. These alternatives, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, offer similar foldable designs with features like larger foldable displays and improved durability but run on Android rather than iOS.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8, as noted by Tom's Guide, features a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch foldable screen with advanced display technology to reduce glare and crease visibility. It is also thinner and lighter than the iPhone Duo and supports running three apps simultaneously, compared to two on the Duo.
