Jay-Z, the 25-time Grammy-winning rapper and entertainment mogul, has been announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl 61 halftime show, NBC News reported.

The NFL and Apple Music confirmed the news during a Monday night game, highlighting Jay-Z's long-standing involvement in selecting artists for recent halftime shows and his entertainment company Roc Nation's partnership with the NFL since 2019.

Super Bowl 61 is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, marking the second Super Bowl hosted at this venue, ABC News noted.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed enthusiasm for Jay-Z's performance, noting the cultural impact and creativity he is expected to bring to the halftime show.

The 2027 Super Bowl broadcast will be available on ABC and ESPN, and streamed on the ESPN App and NFL+ on mobile platforms, according to ABC News.
