Joe DiNunzio seeks third term on Davis school board amid financial challenges

Joe DiNunzio is running for a third term as a Trustee in Area 3 of the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD) School Board, according to a letter published by the Davis Enterprise.

DiNunzio currently serves as the executive director of the UC Davis Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and is president of a consulting firm that supports startups, bringing financial and business expertise to the school board role.

During his two terms, DiNunzio helped the district quickly reallocate resources to address COVID-19 challenges and supported funding for construction, facilities improvements, and staff pay raises.

The DJUSD is now facing significant challenges due to declining student enrollment, which reduces state funding. Supporters believe DiNunzio is well-suited to help the district navigate these financial difficulties in the coming years.
