The Department of Labor's Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) has submitted information collection requests to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval. These include requests related to representatives of miners, notifications of mine operations, and records of tests and examinations of personnel hoisting equipment, according to the Federal Register.

These submissions are made in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 and are open for public comment. The Federal Register notes that the submissions are part of ongoing regulatory information activities and that the official legal status of the online Federal Register content is pending.

Separately, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has submitted information collection requests for renewal related to the Underground Storage Tank Finder Application and Microbial Rules. These requests are also under review by OMB and are extensions of currently approved collections set to expire on October 31, 2026.

The EPA's submissions include additional opportunities for public comment, following previous 60-day comment periods earlier in the year. These actions are part of the agencies' compliance with federal requirements to ensure regulatory information collections remain current and effective.

Additionally, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is seeking public comment on the strategic redesign of its study portfolio, including administrative data collections and surveys, as noted in the Federal Register.
