Man arrested after body found folded inside Miami trash bin
A 70-year-old man was arrested after a body was discovered in a garbage bin in a Miami neighborhood.
Miami police responded to a call shortly after 11 p.m. on November 1 near Northwest 14th Avenue and 59th Street after a witness reported a body inside a residential garbage bin, WSVN reported.
The body was found folded inside the bin with visible trauma near the left eye and blood on the face, according to the police report. Surveillance footage showed a man wearing a high-visibility shirt rolling the bin along Northwest 59th Street.
Investigators searched a nearby home and found blood spatter on the ceiling, a spent cartridge casing, and evidence that a bedroom had been cleaned to conceal evidence. Additional footage showed the man leaving the scene on a moped.
Officers later spotted the man, identified as 70-year-old Danny Barbee, riding a moped nearby wearing the same clothing seen in the video. During questioning, Barbee said he had visited a woman known as 'Gang Gang' and described an unknown man searching for the victim inside the home.
Barbee was arrested following a traffic stop, according to WSVN and WPLG Local 10.
This case remains under investigation as authorities continue to gather evidence.
