On Tuesday, shooting threats were reported at two Richmond polling locations: Thomas Jefferson High School and Barack Obama Elementary School, according to WTVR CBS 6 and the city's Office of Elections.

Later in the afternoon, a bomb threat was reported at Albert Hill Middle School. Police responded to all incidents and conducted security checks, finding no evidence of an immediate threat, WRIC 8News reported.

Voting continued at all locations with ongoing security assessments coordinated between the Richmond Police Department and election officials, the Office of Elections said.

Officials emphasized that the safety of voters, election officers, and staff remains a top priority and encouraged Richmond residents to exercise their right to vote without intimidation.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure a secure voting environment throughout the city.
