Shannon Taylor, Henrico's top prosecutor and Democratic nominee for Virginia's 1st Congressional District, made her final campaign stops to deliver a closing message to voters ahead of Election Day, WRIC and NBC12 reported.

Meanwhile, Representative Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent for the 1st District, held one of his last campaign events just hours before polls open, according to WRIC.

At the Virginia Capitol, advocates opposing two constitutional amendments on the ballot — covering reproductive rights and same-sex marriage — made a final push for voters to reject the measures, WRIC reported.

These efforts reflect the final stages of campaigning in the Richmond area and statewide as voters prepare to decide on congressional representation and constitutional changes.

Election Day will determine the political representation for the 1st Congressional District and the fate of the two constitutional amendments in Virginia.
