A San Francisco man, Milton Ramos-Rodriguez, was arrested Monday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the SoMa neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Standard.

Video of the arrest showed a plainclothes ICE agent in a red flannel shirt drawing a gun during the confrontation. The arrest has drawn public attention and sparked a rally at City Hall the following day.

ICE officials allege Ramos-Rodriguez has gang affiliations and a violent record, but his sister disputes these claims and said he has changed. Ramos-Rodriguez also faces charges in two open domestic violence cases in San Francisco Superior Court.

Supporters and local officials rallied at City Hall to oppose the arrest and advocate for emergency funding for immigration lawyers, reflecting community concern over the case.
