Miami-Dade moves 13 polling places ahead of Tuesday's election
Voters in Miami-Dade must use assigned precincts as 13 polling places shift, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Miami-Dade County has temporarily moved 13 polling places affecting 19 precincts for the upcoming election on Tuesday, CBS News Miami reported. Voters are required to use their assigned precincts on Election Day, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Residents are advised to check their polling place on the county Supervisor of Elections website before heading out to vote. Hundreds of thousands of South Florida voters have already cast ballots during early voting, but those ballots do not affect polling place assignments on Tuesday.
The gubernatorial candidates are making final campaign stops across Florida. Democratic nominee David Jolly highlighted economic issues including housing, healthcare, and public education funding. Republican nominee Byron Donalds emphasized lowering insurance costs and making housing more affordable.
The U.S. Senate race is also drawing attention, with Senator Ashley Moody seeking to retain her seat and Democrat Angie Nixon aiming to flip it. Both candidates are campaigning on Monday evening, with Nixon expected in nearby Broward County.
