FOX 35 Orlando reported that Gourmia is recalling approximately 175,951 stainless steel 9 Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens due to a safety hazard involving the ovens' doors.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that the ovens' spring-loaded glass French doors can unexpectedly close while users are removing hot food, leading to potential burn injuries.

Gourmia has received 57 reports of the doors closing unexpectedly, resulting in 40 burn injuries to consumers' hands and wrists.

Consumers who own the recalled model GTF7530, identifiable by the UPC code 810002862779, are urged to stop using the ovens immediately and contact Gourmia for a free repair kit that includes a doorstop and installation instructions.

The ovens were sold for about $150 at Target stores nationwide and online for the past five years until June 2026.
