Kristin Norman, a woman from Morehead, Kentucky, is currently living in Tampa, Florida, to pursue additional treatment for stage III cervical cancer, according to lex18.com. Her treatment includes chemotherapy, radiation, brachytherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted radiation, but her cancer has continued to progress despite these efforts.

Norman's treatment in Tampa is not covered by insurance and costs $40,400 out of pocket, with additional expenses for lodging, food, transportation, and travel between Kentucky and Florida. Her husband continues to run their barbershop in Morehead and travels to Tampa when possible.

The Morehead community quickly responded to Norman's need for financial support, raising the necessary funds within 72 hours, lex18.com reported. A benefit event called 'Music for the Fight' was organized to bring local musicians and businesses together in support of her.

Norman's husband expressed a desire to return to normal life without the constant worry about her illness. The community's support has been described as a strong demonstration of solidarity and care during her ongoing battle with cancer.
