San Francisco's The Masonic recently hosted a large crowd eager to hear neuroscientist Andrew D. Huberman discuss his new book, “Protocols: An Operating Manual for the Human Body,” according to the San Francisco Standard.

Huberman, once a relatively unknown Stanford professor, has gained widespread recognition as the host of the popular health podcast “Huberman Lab.” His followers in San Francisco treat his wellness advice with great reverence, likening it to gospel.

Among the audience was a 26-year-old engineer who traveled from Houston and had annotated his copy of the book extensively. He discovered Huberman through a popular podcast before following his work independently.

Huberman's recommended health practices include focused learning sessions, resistance training, short naps, and avoiding alcohol and weed at night. He also shared that music producer Rick Rubin helped him write the book and shared a memorable quote from Rubin during the talk.
