Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) has announced planned power shutoffs affecting more than 600 customers across seven Northern California counties, FOX40 reported.

These Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) are scheduled to begin Friday evening as a precautionary measure in response to high winds and dry weather conditions, which increase the risk of wildfires, according to FOX40.
