Central Florida is transitioning to drier weather after several days of heavy rainfall, WKMG News 6 ClickOrlando reported. Scattered showers and a few storms are still possible Tuesday and Wednesday, but widespread heavy rain is less likely.

Rain chances are expected to decrease through the week, leading to a mostly dry weekend and a potential cooldown next week, according to the report. The upper-level disturbance that caused Monday's extreme rainfall is weakening, allowing the atmosphere to stabilize.

Rain probabilities range from 50% to 60% on Tuesday and drop further on Wednesday. Despite the improving conditions, flooding remains a concern in areas that experienced the heaviest rain, with a Flood Watch in effect for Volusia and Brevard counties until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Temperatures are forecast to rise into the lower 80s with breaks of sunshine. East winds will stay breezy, with gusts between 15 and 25 mph, WKMG noted.
