Rams' Myles Garrett to return to practice after knee injury
Los Angeles Rams star Myles Garrett will start practicing this week after missing seven games due to knee surgery.
Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is set to return to practice this week following a knee injury that sidelined him for the past seven games, KTLA 5 reported. Garrett underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-September and has been on injured reserve since then.
Rams head coach Sean McVay announced the start of Garrett's 21-day practice window, signaling the team's hope that their key defensive player will soon be ready to rejoin the lineup, according to CBS News Los Angeles. McVay emphasized a cautious approach, saying they will take it day by day to see how Garrett responds to practice.
Garrett played in the Rams’ season opener in Australia but was not fully healthy and made no tackles in that game. His absence has been felt on the Rams' defense, which ranks 27th in the NFL in sacks and sacks per pass play. The team traded significant assets to acquire Garrett, highlighting his importance to their defense.
Garrett is a highly decorated player, having won the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2023 and 2025 and earning seven Pro Bowl selections. He is third among active NFL players with 125.5 career sacks. His return is anticipated to bolster the Rams' pass rush as they prepare for upcoming games.
