San Diego County jail commissary system offline until Wednesday
Technical issues have halted commissary services at San Diego County jails since Thursday evening, affecting inmate purchases and fund additions.
The San Diego County jail commissary system has been offline since Thursday evening due to technical difficulties, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, as reported by Times of San Diego.
Officials took the system offline to prevent further issues, and the outage entered its fourth day on Sunday, with services not expected to resume until at least Wednesday.
During this period, family and friends cannot purchase commissary items or add funds to inmate accounts, and incarcerated individuals are unable to order commissary items themselves.
Public websites that provide access to the commissary system are also unavailable, impacting communication and transactions related to inmate needs.
The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the importance of these services and apologized for the inconvenience, stating they are working with vendors to identify and resolve the problem as soon as possible.
