San Diego residents experienced earlier sunsets starting after the recent end of daylight saving time, FOX 5 San Diego reported.

Throughout November, sunset times in the area will continue to shift earlier, occurring before 5 p.m., according to FOX 5 San Diego.

This trend will persist until January, when sunset times will begin to shift past 5 p.m. again, marking longer daylight hours in the evening.

The change affects daily routines as daylight hours shorten during the late fall and early winter months in San Diego.
