Senate candidates campaign in Charleston area ahead of early voting
Republican Sen. Darline Graham and Democrat Dr. Annie Andrews made stops in the Lowcountry before early voting starts Monday.
With early voting for South Carolina's Senate race beginning Monday, candidates made campaign stops in the Charleston area on Saturday, WCIV reported.
Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews held a rally in North Charleston, emphasizing affordability and representing people statewide. She told supporters that South Carolina could make history in the upcoming election. A rally attendee said economic concerns affect voters across party lines.
Republican Sen. Darline Graham spoke in Mount Pleasant about her Senate work and differences with Andrews. She highlighted the importance of meeting voters to understand their concerns. A participant at Graham's event noted such gatherings allow direct dialogue with elected officials.
Following their Lowcountry events, Andrews traveled to Florence for another rally, while Graham made a campaign stop in Summerville. South Carolina's early voting runs from October 19 through October 31.
