Sheldon Creed, Jeb Burton, and others join new teams for 2027 NASCAR season
Several drivers, including Sheldon Creed and Jeb Burton, have signed with new teams for the 2027 NASCAR O'Reilly Series season.
Sheldon Creed will drive the No. 26 car for Sam Hunt Racing starting in the 2027 NASCAR O'Reilly Series season, according to Yahoo Sports. Creed has a diverse racing background, beginning with BMX at age 3, motocross championships at age 6, and multiple titles in off-road racing and Stadium Super Truck Series.
Jeb Burton will join RSS Racing to drive the No. 22 car in 2027, Yahoo Sports reported. Burton has two career victories in the series, both at Talladega, and the No. 22 car holds personal significance as it was famously driven by his father, Ward Burton, in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Harrison Burton will drive the No. 78 car for Peterson Racing Group in 2027, with the team moving to a new race shop on the Richard Childress Racing campus, Yahoo Sports said. Burton expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to grow with the team.
Other driver moves include Blaine Perkins joining Sam Hunt Racing to drive the No. 24 car, Ryan Ellis returning to Alpha Prime Racing, and Brennan Poole signing with Jordan Anderson Racing to drive the No. 31 car for the 2027 season, according to Yahoo Sports.
These team and driver changes highlight preparations for the upcoming NASCAR O'Reilly Series season, with further details on sponsorships and crew chiefs yet to be announced.
